Pre-season friendly: Bayelsa Queens force Edo Queens to 1-1 draw

Edo Queens FC of Benin were on fire this morning at the Samson Siasia Stadium Yenagoa as Bayelsa Queens forced them to 1-1 draw in an explosive Grade A club friendly game. 

The first 45 minutes of the encounter saw both teams exhibiting a high sense of football prowess  but no goal to show for their efforts.The highly interesting tension soaked first half ended 0-0 with the coaches going into the dressing room to correct  and possibly come out with another game strategy.
The Moses Aduku -led side got their  first goal of the game  in 58th minute of play as a result of pressure coming from Edo Queens attackers which force Bayelsa Queens defender Miracle Joseph, to commit an error that led to an own goal. 

The prosperity girls got their equalizer  in 63th minute  as Bayelsa Queens striker Chiyere Ugbamani was brought down inside Edo Queens six yards box, the center referee wasted no time in awarding a penalty to the host team.

It was a high profile game as both teams did fantastically well within the duration of the clash. 
Despite the early morning rain today, Bayelsa State football fans came out in their hundreds to watch the game and went home satisfied.

As we await the new NWFL  season, Edo Queens management is doing everything possible to ensure the players are in the right frame of minds to excel in all departments of the game as they hit the ground running for 2023/24 premiership season.
