Nigeria football federation has confirmed Jose Peseiro to continue as the Nigeria Super Eagles manager, ON A REDUCED SALARY.

The Nigeria Football Federation and Mr. Jose Santos Peseiro have reached an agreement for the Portuguese to continue in his role as Head Coach of the Senior Men National Team of Nigeria, Super Eagles.



Nigeria football federation confirmed that Jose Peseiro will continue as the Nigeria Super Eagles manager, ON A REDUCED SALARY.

“As stipulated in the original contract, drawn in May 2022, the Portuguese has been handed the mandate to lead the Super Eagles to, in the minimum, the semi finals of the 34th Africa Cup of Nations finals taking place in Cote d’Ivoire in a few months,” the NFF said.

The federation also says “the new agreement also putting him in charge of the Super Eagles B – the home-based professionals who contest the biennial African Nations Championship.”

Nothing was said about the settlement  months of unpaid wages. Peseiro is said to be owed 10 months wages, which comes to $700k, at $70 per month, on his old pay-scale.

The NFF did not state the reduced monthly salary that Peseiro will be paid.


The Minister of Sports Owan Enoh media team has also revealed that Jose Peseiro's new contract as Super Eagles coach will end in February, 2024 after the AFCON.
