TEN-MAN SHOOTING STARS PICKED VITAL AWAY POINT AGAINST KWARA UNITED.

The Oluyole Warriors continued their sojourn into the 2023/24 NPFL season as they made a trip to the Ilorin township stadium. The Ogunbote boys are yet to pick an away win this season but, are also yet to drop a single point at home.

The battle began with both Afonja Warriors and Oluyole Warriors in high spirits. The two teams were very clear and direct in their approach as they both searched for early goals but, none could get a breakthrough.
In the fifteenth minutes, the pendulum seems to be swinging in Kabiru Dogo’s favour when a penalty call went in his direction. Former Stars striker, Samuel Ayanrinde was voted to take the kick but, he let his team down as he missed from just twelve yards out.
The entertaining first period was heading to a barren draw when a direct free kick was awarded to Shooting stars in the fourty-three . Lawal Andulahi stepped up for shooting to strike but,he directly came against the upright, captain Taofeek Malomo was well placed and in the right position to slot the rebound straight into the net to give the visitors a one goal lead. The halve was whining down when Shooting captain Taofeek Malomo was judged to be retaliating and was given his matching order to reduce Ogunbote boys to ten against eleven.

The second period resumed with Kwara United having the numerical advantage. Ogunbote went defensive in his tactical switch as he viewed to protect his one goal lead. The Shooting stars defense line stood tall until the eighty-eight minutes when the Afonja Warriors finally find their equalizer.
Their was no further goal in the game as both  teams shared the point. Shooting stats will be returning to Ibadan with their head high following the feet they have achieved.
