Liberty pace setter ensured their campaign in the 2023/24 Oyokun Diplomatic football championship is still alive with an emphatic win over U.I. All stars in their third match.

A rejuvenated Pace setter dominated the proceedings with their free flowing tic-tac style of playing that left the U.I. Midfield struggling. A defense splitting pass from Tope Orepe mid-way into the first half set David Abraham face-to-face with U.I’s goalkeeper. The experienced attacker made no mistake as he expertly struck the ball into the bottom right to make one nil. The half witnessed no more goals with both teams settled better into the game.

A master class substitute in the second half by veteran,Dimeji Lawal who was on the technical bench for pace setter Liberty changed the face of the game totally. Raheem Abiodun was introduced into Pace setter’s forward line and the trust of his team in him was well rewarded as he grabbed two goals in the half to put Liberty up by three unreplied goals.
